ABOUT MAK

In 2021 Mak was re-elected as one of Wolverhampton City’s councillors. He has always been super excited to serve the residents of his constituency. Since been elected his relationship with the residents has gone from strength to strength. He has had the pleasure to work with the local churches, temples, The Royal British Legion, sports clubs, and local businesses.  He holds regular community events bringing together residents. His dream is to bring back a sense of strong community spirit and this is why the residents of named him ‘The Community Man’.

As part of the Wolverhampton City Advisory Council, he has a passion to take sports to new levels in the city. He has been promoting sports as much as he can in Springvale and across the city. He supports ‘The special Olympics’ candidates and their sporting events.

Mak designed the Wolverhampton City Advisory Council logo.  He also held an event to honour all sports athletes in the city who have represented the United Kingdom in the National, European, World, Commonwealth Championships and the Olympics. In addition, at the event he raised funds for ‘Promise Dreams’.

The City Sports Advisory Council awarded Mak the ‘Special Person of the Year’ 2017.

The power of having a vision began at the age of 7.  He would watch Bollywood films and wanted to become like his role model actor Dharmendra. At the age of 13 he began working out with weights and at the age of 14-years-old he began competing in the Powerlifting sport.  He was announced the strongest 14-year-old in the whole of the United Kingdom and records show today he was the strongest in the world then. Mak was also the first 14-years-old to compete in the Powerlifting sport. He covered his bedroom walls with posters of bodybuilders and posters of his his new role model Arnold Schwarzenegger.  This is when his journey and vision of wanting to be successful in Powerlifting and to work in movies began.

Whilst studying at university Mak won the British Powerlifting Championships and he ran his first gymnasium. Mak created a weight training course in partnership with Bilston College to help youngsters to get involved in sports. This was successful and Mak coached and created the top four under 21 junior British champions.  The lessons Mak learnt from the sports field taught him to be competitive, work hard and have a mindset of winner. This led him into films.  Mak comprehends that the power of having a vision truly works when the producer of the film he was signed to be in was no other than his role model Dharmendra. 

In 1999, Mak appeared on big screen alongside actor Sunny Deol, the director and the biggest action hero of Bolllywood.

From 2013 to 2015 Mak wrote, produced and co-directed short films for Christian Vision highlighting issues such domestic violence, child abuse, poverty, human trafficking, disability, women's rights, alcohol and drug abuse.

Mak appeared in the World Rugby Commercial 2015 with famous actor Charles Dance. This aired across the SKY Sports channels.

In 2018 Mak co-produced a song to create awareness of drug abuse and the song was launched in the House of Commons. This was supported by many Member’s of Parliament. Mak has also produced and recorded two songs to raise funds in aid of homeless veterans.
